Dice Drome privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

Dice Drome is a dice game for two that you can play in your browser, in the app from Google Play and on the website dicedrome.com. This page explains what information we process, why, for how long, and what rights you have.

In short

  • You can play the computer, two on one screen and the tutorial without an account. The game then sends no information about you to us.
  • For online play, friends and points you need to log in. We then store what is needed for the game to work.
  • We do not sell data and use no ads, tracking or analytics.
  • The database is in the EU, and you can delete your account in the game whenever you like.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Dice Drome. You can always write to us at mars.game.info@gmail.com.

Without login

  • Playing against the computer, two players on one screen and the tutorial work without an account.
  • Your name, photo, language and settings are stored only on your own device. They are not sent to us unless you are logged in and choose to show your name and photo to others (see below).

With login (online play, friends and points)

When you log in with Google, Facebook or email, we store:

  • your email address and, if you use Google or Facebook, the name and picture that account provides. They are only used to recognise your account and are never shown to others,
  • a player number (such as "Player 1234") that other players see,
  • your online matches: moves, result and times,
  • your friends list, the names you give your friends (visible only to you), friend requests and your friend code,
  • your points and a log of points awarded, so nobody can cheat their way to points,
  • your shop purchases (for points), your chosen look (dice, board and frame) and the hardest computer level you have beaten,
  • your progress in events (such as Halloween and Christmas): wins, challenges, the days you played, numbers from your games such as locked 6's and dice pushed into the grave, whether you swapped a challenge, and whether you have won the event's prizes,
  • when the game was last open, so your friends can see whether you are online,
  • if you choose to show your name and photo to others: the name, a small photo (160×160 pixels), that you accepted the terms of use, and whether the photo is approved,
  • reports you send or receive (who, what, reason and when), whom you have blocked, and whether you are banned or barred from using your own photo.

Your login details are stored on your device so you stay logged in.

If you write to us, for example with Give feedback in the game, we receive your email address, what you write, and the game's version and your phone type if they are in the email.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • Your account, online matches, friends, points, shop, events and look: to provide the game you asked for (a contract with you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Your name and photo for others: only if you turn it on. This is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), and you withdraw it by turning it off.
  • Name filter, reports, blocks, bans and the points log: to keep the game safe and fair for everyone (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • The robot check before login emails and technical logs: to protect the game from abuse and attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • When you write to us: to be able to answer you (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • If an authority requires it: to comply with the law (Art. 6(1)(c)).

You do not have to give us any information to play. Logging in is only needed for online play, friends and points.

Who sees what

  • In a match, other players see your player number, or your name if you chose to show it. They also see your moves, your look (dice, board and frame), your rank (the hardest computer level you have beaten) and your photo once it is approved.
  • Dice Drome reviews your photo before others can see it and sees reports about you.
  • Your friends can see whether you are online or in a match.
  • Your email and your name from Google or Facebook are never shown to others.

Who helps us, and where the data is stored

  • Supabase runs the database and login, on servers in Frankfurt (EU).
  • Cloudflare delivers the game and the website, and its Turnstile check makes sure a person, not a bot, asks for a login email.
  • Google (Gmail) sends login emails and the emails we reply with.
  • If you log in with Google or Facebook (Meta), they confirm who you are. What they do with your information is described in their own privacy policies.
  • If you get the app from Google Play, Google handles downloads and updates under its own terms.

Supabase and Cloudflare only process the data on our instructions (data processing agreements). Some of these companies are American or provide support from outside the EU. If data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, this is done under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Write to us if you would like a copy.

We do not sell data and use no ads, tracking or analytics.

The app, the website and your device

  • The app from Google Play shows the same game as the browser. It has no ads and does not use the advertising ID.
  • The game stores your login, language and settings on your device. This is needed for the game to work the way you chose.
  • The website dicedrome.com sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics. Fonts and images are loaded from our own server.
  • Cloudflare and Supabase process your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. Such technical logs are deleted automatically after a short time.

How long

For as long as you have an account. If you turn off showing your name and photo, they are deleted from the server at once. A photo that is not approved is deleted too. If you delete your account, your profile, name and photo, friends, friend requests, points, purchases, event progress, reports and blocks are deleted at once. Finished matches are kept without any link to you, so your opponent's history still makes sense. Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to help you.

Automation

Names are checked by a filter before others can see them. If several players report the same name or photo, it is hidden automatically until we have reviewed it. Photos, bans and restrictions are decided by a person. We make no decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Children

Online play, friends and accounts are for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 15, a parent must agree before you show your name and photo to others.

Security

The connection is always encrypted. The database only gives access through functions that check who you are, and others only see your photo once it is approved.

Your rights

  • You can find out what information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • You can have incorrect information corrected and have your information deleted.
  • You can ask us to restrict processing and object to it.
  • You can receive your information in a common format.
  • You can always withdraw a consent.

Write to us and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Delete your account

In the game (in the app or on the web): tap your name in the menu (Profile) → Delete my account → tap again to confirm. The account is deleted at once. If you cannot get into the game, write to us from the email you log in with (with Google, that is your Google email), with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will delete it within 30 days and let you know when it is done. What is deleted and what is kept is described under How long.

Changes

If we change this policy, a new date is shown at the top. For bigger changes, we tell you in the game.
